Proton eMas has been adding green to its colour options lately, and now is the turn of the eMas 5. The new hue is called Jade Green and the eMas 5 in this shade is making its debut at the inaugural Penang Autoshow 2026, which opens to the public tomorrow at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre.
But unlike the deep Emerald Green that was introduced for the eMas 7 PHEV, this is a lighter, cheery shade of the primary colour, which really suits a cute city car like the eMas 5, I think. It reminds us of the Pistachio Green on the Ora Good Cat, another cuddly-looking EV.
Jade Green joins the eMas 5’s launch colours, which are Moonstone White, Graphite Silver, Slate Grey, Marble Cream and Quartz Rose. The latter two are exclusive to the top-spec Premium, which also gets a black roof and an Alabaster White interior option for the two exclusive exterior colours. Jade Green can be had on any eMas 5 variant, but only with the dark Slate Grey cabin theme.
No price premium for Jade Green, which means that the eMas 5’s RRP continues to be RM56,800 for the Prime and RM69,800 for the Premium, on-the-road without insurance.
Both variants are rear-wheel drive, powered by a single motor that produces 79 PS (58 kW) and 130 Nm of torque on the Prime and 116 PS (85 kW) and 150 Nm on the Premium. The Prime uses a 30.12 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit for a range of 225 km on the WLTP cycle, while the Premium’s 40.16 kWh pack delivers 325 km.
As for charging, the Prime accepts up to 53 kW of DC power, while the Premium does better at 71 kW; both can be topped up from 30% to 80% SoC in 20 minutes. The max AC charging rate is 6.6 kW. For more details and specs, check out our launch report, spec-by-spec comparo and dedicated gallery for the base Prime, which is a relatively rare sight.

At least proton don’t do side ah long business like Perutdua leasing
gomen will again force people to buy these local trash. The way is as usual, impose high tariff on non-national brands. Gee, thanks Proton.
It’s geely brand. Proton has zero input. Geely actually have better quality than local product
Proton seems not very smart, they put a light color car on a equally light color carpet/background. Furthermore both colors are lighter & cheery types. It certainly did not bring out this special color due to lack of contrast. Best if they put the car against a dark color background like black.
There’s no proton input in this car
omoda e5?
Still impress with such a comfortable plush offering B segment EV SUV with space better than some C segment SUV too. That Frunk and V2L convenience make it a good day to day camper cabin.
