A couple of public holidays are coming up and with a day or two of leave, it’ll create a long weekend stretch. The public holidays are for Hari Raya Aidiladha a.k.a. Raya Haji on May 27 (Wednesday), the YDPA Agong’s birthday on June 1 (next Monday) and Wesak Day on June 2 (next Tuesday).
JPJ has announced that it will be closed on selected days on this stretch, but the days differ according to state. The road transport department will not operate from May 26 to June 1 in Kelantan and Terengganu, while it’s from May 27 to June 1 in Kedah.
Over in Perlis, the off days are May 27-28 and June 1-2, while for states not specifically listed above, there will be no counter services on May 27 and June 1-2. If you have any upcoming business with JPJ, take note of the off days and work around it. Happy holidays in advance!
