Vinfast has launched the VF MPV 7 in Indonesia. The seven-seater EV – which is called Limo Green in its home market of Vietnam – is locally assembled in Subang, West Java, and the CKD operations is described by Vinfast as a significant step forward in its global manufacturing expansion strategy.
The three-row, seven-seat VF MPV 7 measures 4,740 mm long and 1,872 mm wide, which makes it about the size of a Toyota Innova Zenix. Specifically, the Vinfast is 20 mm shorter and 22 mm wider than the popular Toyota MPV. Its wheelbase of 2,840 mm is 10 mm shorter than the Innova – same midsize ballpark as the Kijang then. Ground clearance isn’t exactly SUV-like at 185 mm.
The EV is powered by a 150 kW (204 PS) and 280 Nm front-mounted motor, which pushes the MPV from 0-100 km/h in 10 seconds. It is juiced by a 60.2 kWh LFP battery pack, and claimed range is up to 450 km in the NEDC cycle, which should translate to around 380 km in the more realistic WLTP standard. Max charging rates are 6.9 kW AC and 80 kW DC – the latter gets SoC from 10-70% in 30 minutes.
Highlighted kit include 19-inch alloys, cruise control, LED daytime running lights, 360-degree camera, synthetic leather seats, tilt/telescopic steering adjustment, 10.1-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto air con with PM2.5 air filtration and vents for all three rows and a steering column-mounted gear selector.
Smart features include a virtual assistant with Bahasa Indonesia voice control, remote vehicle management and location services via smartphone app. Six colours are available, and they are Jet Black, Zenith Grey, Solar Ruby (red), Introspective Brown, Moonlit Ocean (blue) and Infinity Blanc (white).
Interestingly, the VF MPV 7 comes with an 80% resale value guarantee scheme (10% more than what it offers in the Philippines), which is likely to be closely tied to the battery subscription plan – yup, just like what Perodua had in mind for the QV-E. The Vinfast is priced from Rp 420 million (RM94,260) if you want to own the battery, or from Rp 345 million (RM77,418) with battery subscription, which monthly fees start from Rp 880,000 (RM197).
VF MPV 7 buyers get to enjoy three years of free charging on the V-Green network, which currently has over 2,200 chargers across Indonesia. The first 2,000 customers are promised a special cashback incentive of Rp 16 million (RM3,590). The vehicle warranty is for seven years or 160,000 km, and there’s a separate 10-year or 200,000 km warranty for the EV battery.
The rollout of the first VF MPV 7 comes less than half a year after VinFast officially inaugurated its EV plant in Subang, West Java in December 2025. The Subang plant is built on a 171-hectare site and will be developed in multiple phases, with total projected investment exceeding US$1 billion, Vinfast says. The plant has a future capacity of 350,000 units per annum, and VF is planning exports to regional markets.
Other Vinfast models that will be assembled in Indonesia include the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6 and VF 7. That’s a pretty broad range of SUVs. Click on the links to check out each model. I really like the toy-like ‘baby Jimny’ looks of the VF 3 – it’s very cute.

anyone buy this ah?
who would buy this instead of Perodua qve which is much better??
for 77k price we can buy excellent vietnam EV , developed by skillful viet-educated engineers, backed by rocksolid aftersales service by vinfast one of the biggest conglomrate in Asia,or
or for the same price can choose buy the new perodua EV engineered by uuim/uitm/mara/mrsm graduates, and comes without battery. battery not included.
Bodo punya racer. FYI Vinfast also started out contracting out their earlier model to Magna Steyr. Yes same outfit that helped with QV-E. Bodo.
trash viet cong ev garbage. perodua qve is much better and quality. if perodua go to vietnam, will wipe out this overrated veit cong ev without the help of miti anyways
Give it a rest both are trash.
I foresee this is going to flop so hard. Vinfast would need to literally give this away free to clear up stock after the initial sales to the few idio…very daring buyers.
VinFast sold approximately 170,000 to 175,000 vehicles in Vietnam during the 2025 calendar year, commanding about a 29% market share and becoming the top-selling automaker in the country.
Vinfast was rated worst car ever launched in North America. They claimed it was launched without proper due diligence. It was found to have more than 100 system and device errors. FYI.
perodua QVE >> Vinflop
The thing is at the rate Vinfast is hemorrhaging money now, the company likely won’t last for 3 years to meet their guarantees and warranties. Seems like another thinly disguised scam like their IPO offering in USA.
People are dying over there and they got enough money to deelop new EV? Priorities???
Very brave nation with intergrity unlike many which sold out their country.
It will be a big shame if this vietnam company gets ahead of proton, which started 20 years earlier but still cant produce a good for value car to malaysian.. too much profit taking!!
Now Vinfast Vietnam also moving faster than Japanese.
More power EV than the Innova 2.0 Dynamic Force or the HEV.
This is the right way of industrialization, not use as taxing Oppurtunities.
RM 77K !!! ??? But no worry, we will pay RM 180k here.
The Vinfast is priced from Rp 420 million (RM94,260) if you want to own the battery, or from Rp 345 million (RM77,418) with battery subscription, which monthly fees start from Rp 880,000 (RM197).
Cheaper and bigger than Perodua QV-E.
No less power machine motor with 150kW 280Nm.
Reminder that a Vin car causes the train accident in Indo that killed 16 women last month
using your logic, A 31-year-old Malaysian military officer (rank of Captain), Jad Faid Arhan, was arrested and charged following a fatal drink-driving crash on the Maju Expressway (MEX) on April 23, 2026.
so all M are reckless and drunk drivers ?
perodua qve is better because more resale value
Whoever Copy dulu Vin Faster
Assembled in Subang ya, interesting….
Subang, West Java okay.
