His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has taken delivery of the Aurus Senat limousine, a vehicle which His Majesty has test-driven in a prior visit to the Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Engines Institute (NAMI) last year.
The latest acquisition of the Aurus Senat by His Majesty joins a line-up of special vehicles which include the Hongqi L5 (known today as the Guoli), a LWB Genesis G90, a classic Rolls-Royce Phantom VI, a stretched Lincoln Town Car and a number of Mercedes-Benz 600s.
The acquisition followed His Majesty’s visit to the Museum of the Special Purpose Garage in Moscow, which contains a collection of more than 50 unique cars and motorcycles. The King of Malaysia was welcomed at the museum by Russian first deputy minister of industry and trade Kirill Alekseevich Lysogorsky, museum director Belikov AV, and NAMI chief executive officer Nazarov FL.
“Aurus is the official vehicle brand of the Russian Federation’s top leadership and is often used by President Vladimir Putin at official state events and important diplomatic occasions,” read the statement on the Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page.
