Not bad lah this thing – it launched on April 8 with 2,600 bookings under its belt, then proceeded to go out to 900 buyers before the month ended. Now, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced on Facebook that in April, the Mitsubishi Xforce was the country’s top-selling non-national compact SUV (it’s usually either the HR-V or the Corolla Cross). Once the road transport department‘s (JPJ) April data comes out, let’s see if this guy makes the overall top 20.
Anyway, the Pekan, Pahang-assembled (CKD) Xforce comes in RM110k Urban and RM120k Ultimate (as featured in this gallery) variants. The engine is a 105 PS/141 Nm 4A91 1.5 litre non-turbo MIVEC four-potter while the gearbox is an Aisin CVT.
Here’s what the Ultimate has that the Urban doesn’t – selectable drive modes, a powered hands-free tailgate with spoiler, an eight-inch instrument panel (analogue dials with 4.2-inch TFT display on Urban), a 12.3-inch touch-screen (eight-inch on Urban), blue ambient lighting, wireless charging and eight Yamaha speakers (six on Urban, unbranded).
Also reserved for the Ultimate are a White Mélange-trimmed dash, Mocha-accented seats, an auto-dim rear-view mirror, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay (wired on Urban) six airbags (four on Urban) and ADAS including AEB and ACC (Urban only has blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert). Eyeing one? Check out our comprehensive gallery of the range-topping Ultimate below.

Benarkah 2600 pcs similar dgn x50 sales? x50 290nm torque woh, cuma kena accept gearshift dekat wiper lah.
sometimes it not just about power output bro.
Must accepted lar or else how to feel like driving a Merc …anyway I think most of buyer that prefer Xforce over x50 is bcause the ride height and the spacious cabin it offer.
Wow, strong sentimental still tied with 1.5L Avanza Xpander
want ride height and spacious cabin, buyers can get that in perodua Aruz which is RM30k cheaper
They have to made a very specific category and a very short time frame of only one month, just to put “top selling” in the title. That’s all I have to know.
I think the Indonesian are laughing too
Wtf you talking about? The “non national” category has existed for years. In the compact SUV sector, this includes the Honda HRV, Toyota Cross, and various Chinese makers, so it’s actually good that Mitsubishi is bringing some competition outside the “national tongkat milo tin” segment.
Mitsubishi Xforce comes from the classic with the 4A91 Xpander Mivec, trying forced fun with CVT sit on torsion Beam,
Edt acceleration 12.5s+ to 100.
Can compete with these variants:
1.Saga Cross 1.5 iGT CVT 11.6s to 100 Torsion Beam
2.Jaecoo J5 10.2s to 100 Multilink
3.Tesla Model 3 rahmah 6.2s to 100 Multilink
4.Zeekr X 5.6s to 100 Multilink
5.MG S5 7.0s to 100 Multilink
Come on Mitsubishi. Put CVT into the Xpander. Sales will pick up. What more in this Budi95 era.
it is a good car, but mitsubishi in malaysia is bad
It’s time to bring in Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
Compact SUV. HRV n cross compact meh?
Nice friendly design. Nobody will get road rage driving a car like this. Inside as spacious as icar v23. Power is adequate for our national speed limit. Considering one as my triton already 15 years no problem at all. And used mitsubishi outlander and asx are more or same price as german makes of same year.
