Lepas Malaysia has announced it has signed distribution agreements with 20 key partners as it prepares to launch its first model here. This comes a few months after the company revealed earlier in January that it plans to have at least 30 outlets by the end of 2026.
“At Lepas, we believe that elegance moves the world, and true elegance requires a truly refined customer journey,” said Sarah Choo, senior brand director of Lepas. “By working as one unified front, Lepas is establishing a standardised network system that promises immersive product experience, seamless sales and delivery and aftersales care. Lepas is committed to bringing the elegant mobility lifestyle to consumers across Malaysia,” she added.
Lepas is a brand under Chery that was revealed last year, with the L8 being its first model to roll off the production line. The line-up also includes the L4 and L6, all built on Chery Group’s global NEV platform designed that can accommodate various powertrain types, including pure internal combustion, hybrid and fully electric.
As per an earlier report in February, Lepas Malaysia (pronounced as leap-pass and not le-pas) will introduce its first models in the first half of this year, with the L8 and L6 said to spearhead the brand’s entry.
