As part of its ongoing ‘Hybrid Done Right’ campaign, Honda Malaysia has announced that starting May 1, 2026, new e:HEV hybrid models sold in the country will come with a 10-year, unlimited-mileage hybrid battery and components warranty. This includes hybrid versions of the City, City Hatchback, HR-V, Civic and CR-V.
To further reinforce its commitment to hybrid technology, existing e:HEV as well as previous-generation i-DCD (Jazz, City and HR-V) customers will also benefit from the enhanced warranty.
To jog your memory, Honda Malaysia returned to the hybrid market in 2017 with the launch of the Jazz Hybrid, which debuted the Sport Hybrid i-DCD (Intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive) system. The newer e:HEV cars use the brand’s Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) system, which first appeared here in the fifth-generation City.
The hybrid battery warranty for these e:HEV and i-DCD cars has now been extended from eight years to 10 years with unlimited mileage. Meanwhile, selected hybrid components are now covered by an extended warranty of up to ten years, up from the previous five years.
Additionally, Honda Malaysia is extending the hybrid battery and components warranty coverage to second-hand e:HEV and i-DCD owners. With this, subsequent owners remain eligible for coverage when ownership is transferred, valid up to the tenth year of the warranty period. With this initiative, the company is improving the ownership value for customers of its hybrid models by providing them with long-term benefits and peace of mind.

the king has returned! be scared lousy chinese boys, be very scared.
i dont get it ,whwat is there to be scared of ? a longer warranty period for hybrid components wont compensate for honda expesnvie price nor their inferior specs. imagine its already year 2026 and they still dont have a single PHEV model in their roster.
do u really know what is the purpose of PHEV?
Ape bangang punya komen ni… Ko ni skolah mana ni?
Honda seriously need to give 10 year warranty for their steering racks and CVTs..failure rate is just too high
So that they can continue charging high price for maintenance and wear & tear parts for 10 years every time you go back to them.
LMAO japanese scoundrels trying to spread FUD. There are taxis running on BYD batteries for example that have gone well past the usable life of the battery packs and still holding north of 80% SoH.
10 Years warranty is an excuse to just rip you off with maintenance fees in order to keep said warranty for the battery and motors.
Let’s see these charlatans offer that sort of warranty on their BEVs where they cant aim to make as much for maintain fees.
Once the CATL Naxtra sodium batteries coming into the market its over for these jap thieves plus the rest of the European dung-balls living on outdated costly NMC packs that you cant even charge upto 100% regularly.
Your social credit has been increased. Da Ke thanks you, comrade.

When will Malaysia get the hatchback hybrid version, why is Honda having hard time to bring civic hatchback, don’t just thinking about profit only, there some potential buyer like the hatchback looks and still awaiting before another car manufacture introduce another nicer hatchback.
