It is Wednesday, which means that it is once again, time for the weekly fuel price update by the ministry of finance for the coming week of March 5 to 11, 2026.

Prices are up for the coming week across the main fuel types. The retail price of diesel fuel in Peninsular Malaysia takes an eight sen hike to RM3.12 per litre, from the RM3.04 per litre price of last week. Therefore, the Euro 5 B7 blend of diesel, which is 20 sen more per litre, is at RM3.32 per litre for the coming week. The retail price of diesel fuels in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan stays unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

For petrol, the subsidised RON 95 fuel under the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) scheme remains at RM1.99 per litre; Malaysians with a valid driving licence are eligible for the fuel at a monthly quota of 300 litres.

The price of unsubsidised RON95 petrol climbs eight sen to RM2.67 per litre, from the RM2.59 per litre price of last week, while RON 97 petrol takes the biggest climb of the group this week, up 10 sen to RM3.25 per litre, from RM3.15 per litre of last week.

These prices take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, March 11, 2026, when the next set of fuel price updates are announced. This is the 11th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for 2026, and the 374th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.

all malaysian citizens who hold NRIC and pay using local bank credit card should be entitled to pump RON95 Budi95 and entitled to equal rights and opportunity.
    full stop.
its morally wrong for govt to discriminate based on each citizens car registration number plate. whats next, discriminating based on race or ethnicity, wait a minute

As always . When it favors you its fine.. when it doesn’t, it racist.

Why on the world a malaysian with a valid Malaysian ic drove non malaysian registered car?

That’s mean the car is not paying malaysia roadtax, and doesn’t incurred Malaysia tax when purchased.

      That’s that.

singaporean registered car but owned by malaysian citizen, so why are you discriminating against malaysian with NRIC? and if paying tax is the criteria to receive subsidy, thousands of foreigners working in malaysia pay tax to LHDN but yet not entitled to receive subsidy so is that fair?

Before the BN lost the 2018 GE 14, RON95 price was at RM2.20/L. Now genuine rakyat Malaysia with genuine MyKad IC & valid driving licence can buy RON95 at RM1.99/L.

Stop selling your IC details for cheap petrol. Subsidised RON95 must be freely available to all rakyat without hassle or quotas, even to those Malaysians who drive Singapore registered car, and for expat foreigners who reside in Malaysia driving local car.

May I suggest, entitlement of 300L subsidy for those:

    1. Declare Income and pay Income Tax as per stipulated tier. Kalau takda income, then just declare without paying tax.
    2. Malaysian driving vehicle registered in Malaysia.

Why? because i came across with cases of mereka yang ada income, tapi sengaja NOT declaring it, in order to ambil free aide money through various scheme……

    Fikir lah……
