Honda Malaysia has introduced a 2026 update for the sixth-generation CR-V, revising the range from four at its point of introduction here back in December 2023 to three. The previous baseline turbocharged S has been dropped, but there’s a new hybrid variant in the form of the CR-V e:HEV E, with the grade taking over from the turbo that wore the suffix previously.
The arrival of the hybrid E makes it the first time two hybrid variants are available within a single Honda model line-up locally, the other of course being the flagship e:HEV RS. The updated CR-V range is priced at (on-the-road, without insurance):
- CR-V e:HEV E (hybrid)– RM178,200
- CR-V V AWD (turbocharged petrol) – RM181,900
- CR-V e:HEV RS (hybrid) – RM195,900
The switch to a hybrid adds on RM8,300 to the E grade (the petrol turbo went for RM169,900), making it the new base variant given the omission of the S (which was priced at RM159,900). As for the V and RS, their prices are unchanged from that at launch.
Like the e:HEV RS, the hybrid E is powered by the same Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) system, combining the workings of an electric motor and petrol engine, with outputs unchanged from before. The system is made up of a 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, which acts primarily as a generator, delivering 148 PS (146 hp) at 6,100 rpm and 190 Nm at 4,500 rpm. Meanwhile, the e-motor delivers 184 PS (181 hp, or 135 kW) from 5,000-8,000 rpm and 335 Nm from 0-2,000 rpm.
As for the sole petrol version, the L15BE 1.5 litre VTEC turbo four-pot continues to put out 193 PS (190 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 243 Nm from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm.
Not much visual change to the car, with the introduction of a new exterior colour option called Blazing Red Pearl leading the way. The turbocharged variants now come dressed with 18-inch alloys in Sparkle Silver as standard, while hybrid variants get 18-inch alloy wheels in Berlina Black. Additionally, all CR-V variants now come fitted with Honda Authorised Solar and Security tint film by Ecotint as standard.
Inside, the e:HEV RS’s cabin now features a darker hairline film finish on the dashboard as well as seats embossed with the RS logo. Across the model range, there is also some new kit. All variants now come with a 9.0-inch Advanced Display Audio system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Google Audio Services is also now integrated into the ADA, offering hands-free Google Assistant, real-time navigation through Google Maps and access to a variety of applications via Google Play.
The SUV also gets a new Digital Key feature, allowing owners to lock and unlock their vehicle, and start the engine via a mobile device. Additionally, functional remote features such as remote window close and remote power tailgate are now integrated into the Honda Connect mobile application, offering enhanced ease of use and convenience for owners of the SUV.
Elsewhere, the LaneWatch system has finally been replaced by a Blind Spot Information (BSI) system, which alerts the driver with an illuminated indicator in the side-mirrors during lane changes. Also finding its way on is a rear Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), which detects vehicles approaching from either side at the rear of the vehicle.

New format of Discount
The powder of Dreams
At this price, there are lots of options to choose from .
Not bad, but why didn’t they just drop the price permanently? The outgoing CR-V kept seeing big 10k+ discounts every month.
finally BSM, how hard can it be honda?
Still no 360 surround camera? What a joke.
Honda Malaysia must really believe in its Lambang H supremacy if they’re giving an rm180k car without 360 camera
For those saying the updated CRV lineup have 360 surround camera, no, the E still doesnt come with that. Only the V and RS. A 180k suv doesnt come with 360 camera in 2026, let that sink in.
eMAS 7 PHEV better than this
can anyone remind us how much emas7 hybrid costs?
125k
106-126k
Honda finally enters the modern era with BSM, congrats. I thought they always say lane watch was better?
Funny how Honda saying BSM is better only after their sales fell a lot.
Honda has lost the plot.
See? should have include BSM instead of that stupid lan(m)ewatch(TM) 3000 years ago. you got RCTA included as well.
It’s no longer popular poor seats plus steering rack issues
Have ventilated seats?
Unfortunately, no. Thai market has them but alas not us.
When ringgit fell, they increased the price. Now that ringgit has strengthened, they keep maintaining the price. Bermaz already learnt the lesson and reduce the price of their popular CX-5
Honda needs another year of falling sales to wake up.
wah no more lanewatch
Can the BSI retrofitted on previous model?
Even low mileage used ones hard to find new homes
