MyDigital ID sole login method for MyJPJ app to now begin May 1, 2026 – further two-month extension given

MyDigital ID sole login method for MyJPJ app to now begin May 1, 2026 – further two-month extension given

In February, the road transport department (JPJ) announced that the start of MyDigital ID as the sole login route for the MyJPJ mobile app, which was originally set to have begun on February 1, had been extended to March 1. Now, the deadline for that requirement has again been extended to May 1, 2026, to give those who haven’t registered for it the chance to do so.

The extension means that motorists will still be able to access the MyJPJ app by entering their 12-digit identification card (MyKad) number and password until the sole login method begins.

Back in November last year, the department had indicated that around 13 million users had downloaded or registered for the MyJPJ app, with around 1.3 million users using their MyDigital ID to log into the app. At that point, around 11 million users had still to register for MyDigital ID, and given that there’s now another extension, it can be assumed that the number of users who haven’t registered remains high, enough to warrant another shift.

Delaying what is inevitable isn’t going to change its eventual implementation, so if you haven’t already registered, do so – the sign-up process is simple enough. The new login method only applies to Malaysian users above the age of 18, as those under that age as well as MyPR card holders will continue to use the traditional login route.

Stop selling your IC details for cheap petrol. Subsidised RON95 must be freely available to all rakyat without hassle or quotas, even to those Malaysians who drive foreign registered car, and for foreigners who reside in Malaysia driving local car.

Of course, a budak kecik like u is too young to know that JPN already has every citizen’s details in order to issue the IC in the first place..

  • These walaun are trying to discredit Anthony Loke . It’s just another way to uniquely identify users. What do rakyat got to lose ? Not that they arent already uniquely identified thru each individual NRIC.

Firstly can gomen explain why My digital id needs to be renewed ever year? We are in karmic balance, reincarnated every year? Buddhism in the constitution? Registration process is shambolic, kiosks are broken offline, you try logging into pdrm mysaman, they ask you to scan code from my digital id. Scan a code on your screen with your own phone.. imagine the brain power that went into this. Elon musk should come here and learn how to run Space X and Tesla our my digital id is the most advanced technology in the world

lol.. surprised u didn’t know that the govt had started collecting your data from the time your parents had registered your birth. Isn’t that the reason the govt is able to issue u an IC in the 1st place?

MyDigital ID is developed by Mimos Bhd which is owned by MoF Inc & managed by MOSTI. It’s no surprise that you’re attempting to force your own BS down the throats of 30 million Malaysians.

  • So many fools here defending this crap, if everyone complies than you can truly say goodbye to your privacy and welcome an authoritarian dictatorship. If hou say you got nothing to hide, that’s just because you’re an NPC who can’t think for yourself.

If you do not want the govt to monitor you, your parents should not have registered your birth, so that the govt would have no record of you. But as a result, you couldn’t legally be a citizen; you couldn’t be enrolled into a school; you couldn’t be legally employed. And you would end up blaming your parents for being fools..
