Xiaomi has sold 600,000 cars since deliveries began on April 3, 2024 – target set for 550k units in 2026

Xiaomi recently took to Weibo to announce it has managed to deliver 600,000 cars since April 3, 2024. This milestone comes 22 months after it first started deliveries of the SU7 – its first offering – that was later joined by the YU7.

According to CarNewsChina, Xiaomi managed to sell 39,002 vehicles in January 2026, with the YU7 making up the overall majority at 97%. The brand’s electric SUV was China’s best-selling passenger vehicle that month, with its close rival, the Tesla Model Y, lingering down in 20th.

As for the SU7, an updated version is expected to be launched in April this year, with the older, pre-update model already discontinued and existing stock sold made up just 3% of Xiaomi’s sales last month.

In 2025, Xiaomi’s annual sales reached 410,000 units, with December being a highlight month that saw 50,000 units sold. For 2026, company founder and chairman Lei Jun has set a target of 550,000 vehicles, which is about 34% more than what was achieved in 2025.
