An additional 26,460 Electric Train Service (ETS) tickets will be made available by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) from February 13 to 22 to meet demand for the upcoming Chinese New Year period, reported New Straits Times.
The additional allocation for the upcoming festive period will bring ETS operations to a maximum of 52 trips per day, and ticket sales will open on January 29, said transport minister Anthony Loke.
For this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, KTMB will provide eight ETS services from March 13 to 29 on selected routes, offering a total of 36,540 tickets. This, too will bring ETS operations to a maximum of 52 trips a day. For the Hari Raya Aidilfitri season, ticket sales will open on March 1, said the transport minister.
