SPIED: 2014 Perodua Alza SE exposed before launch

2014_Perodua_Alza_SE_ 011

Here’s an early look at the 2014 Perodua Alza SE, ahead of its public launch tomorrow at the One Utama Shopping Centre. This particular unit wears an SE badge, which is new to the Alza range. There’s no missing the bright red colour scheme either.

The SE is likely to be the facelifted range’s mid-spec model, sitting below a new range-topper that replaces the current Alza Advanced Version. Unique to it are the all-round bodykit, rear spoiler, grey wheels and clear taillamps. We’ve already seen what the new base model (which will take over from the Alza S-Series) looks like in an earlier set of spyshots here.

Await our comprehensive coverage of tomorrow’s launch, complete with live photos, full details and prices right here on paultan.org.

Comments on the 2014 Perodua Alza SE reveal mixed sentiments. Many users express disappointment over minimal changes, labeling it a minor facelift with cosmetic tweaks like new bumpers and colors, and criticize the lack of significant safety or technological improvements. Some compare it unfavorably to other cars, question its value for money, and are skeptical about the upgrades, especially the engine and safety features. Others defend the vehicle as practical and affordable, highlighting its reliability and suitability for limited budgets. There is also skepticism about the design, with some noting its resemblance to other models, and a few comments focus on the perceived overpriced nature of the car. Upgrade the suspension.. Adjustable absorbers.. Problem solve.. Ask this & that.. Price increase people bising anyway.. Standard cars always like this.. Want good ride, upgrade performance parts.. You want good performance standard cars?.. Buy a GTR, WRX, Evo, 86, BRZ etc.. These are performance cars.. No modifications needed.. ( even some ppl still modify for max performance). Got it?

The changes are so minimal, I don’t think it is very difficult to do too. Just a new bumper, bunch of lights without the yellow lends, and bam, facelift.

Can be done even on your own I guess. I would take the Exora over this. Bigger, more power, and safer.

Nice grey wheels… perfect for hiding the awful amount of brake dusts produced by its original brake pads..:) nice work done on moving the rear bumper reflectors vertically which I think helped improve the rear looks.
Despite what bashers say, this is one very practical and cheap 5+2 seater vehicle.. nothing great, but gets the job done quite reliably.
