Coinciding with Ron Howard’s film, Rush, that projects the rivalry between F1 heroes Niki Lauda and James Hunt onto the big screen, Ferrari has released pictures of a unique 458 Italia one-off, customised to honour the Prancing Horse world champion. This is not a special edition of some sort, though, rather a customer car that has been customised through Ferrari’s exclusive Tailor-Made personalisation programme.
The unnamed owner wanted a 458 Italia that echoes the Scuderia Ferrari livery from the mid-Seventies. What results is a red coupe with a white roof, featuring the Italian flag running over it. Splashes of white across the bodywork and bespoke gold wheels complete the exterior makeover, which was overseen by a personal designer from the Maranello Style Centre.
On the inside, the Italian flag motif is extended to the racing bucket seats and centre tunnel, while the entire cabin is further individualised with bright red highlights and race car-style accents. It’s a fitting tribute to one of the happiest and most productive eras in the history of the Scuderia.
We just wonder why no one has requisitioned a special Ferrari that’s dedicated to Michael Schumacher’s glory days. Perhaps someone needs to make a movie out of it first, eh?

I think Schumacher is an amazing driver for his era as well, he may not be the fastest driver of all time but he used to be so far in front of everyone else in the 90s, that said I’m glad they are making this, I think its quite nice.
