The new W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will come in no less than six different body types. We’ve already seen the short wheelbase and the long wheelbase versions, but this disguised car you see here is the extended wheelbase version of the car, which promises even greater rear cabin room.
Not only is the wheelbase longer, but the extended wheelbase version gets thicker and more upright C pillars as well, giving more privacy to the occupants sitting at the rear. It gives the S-Class a more stately and upright stance compared to the sportier look of the short and long wheelbase cars.
It won’t be the longest S-Class though, as this one will be slotting in between the long wheelbase model and the upcoming six-seater Pullman model. if you’re wondering what the other two S-Class bodies we mentioned – it’s going to be the S-Class Coupe which succeeds the CL-Class, as well as an S-Class Convertible.
