Ford Fiesta Zetec S: petrol or diesel!

Ford Fiesta Zetec S

For the moment the top of the line new Ford Fiesta hatch in Europe will be the Ford Fiesta Zetec S while we wait for Ford to whip up the new Fiesta ST. Under the hood is a choice of either a 1.6 litre Duractec Ti-VCT petrol engine producing 120 PS, or a 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi engine producing 90 PS.

The Zetec S badge also adds a lowered sports suspension as well as a bodykit consisting of a deeper front bumper, side skirts and rear spoiler. 16 inch alloys and projector headlamps complete the exterior equipment list.

One more rear shot after the jump.

The previous gen.Focus brought in was not well received although with its then vogue styling. Its narrow, and almost have zero leg room for the rear passengers.
The ride is bumpy, and the Zetec engine is harsh sounding.
Its a nice run-about car, but I doubt it is meant for aggresive driving, judging from the smaller tyers, and common 120ps power unit. Between the Ford and Alfa 147M, I’ll take the Alfa.

looks nice, but if only the price was cheaper.

Ford cars are known to have nice designs that appeal to the young market.
