Extensive re-release of an excellent game. Croteam not only improved technical aspects in terms of graphics and controls but also added a whole new chapter as well as compelling audio-commentary.
Everything that was great about The Talos Principle has been made new again with The Talos Principle: Reawakened. A brand-new DLC called In The Beginning and full remastering of the game and its other DLC lets players relive all of their favourite puzzles with stunning graphical upgrades to boot.

The game is excellent. I particularly appreciate the addition of developer commentaries and the new content, which adds real depth to the overall experience. The modding support is another highlight — it offers more flexibility and creativity than most modern remakes released these days. The price point feels fair, and it's worth noting that owners of The Talos Principle 1 or 2 receive a discount, which I consider a respectful and customer-friendly gesture. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the optimization and image clarity. While the game runs well on my system overall, there's a noticeable stutter when moving the mouse quickly, which persists regardless of the settings I tweak. It's not a dealbreaker, but it does slightly detract from the otherwise smooth experience.

The Talos Principle Reawakened isn’t just a fancy remaster with tarted up graphics, it truly is the definitive edition of one of the greatest puzzle games of all time and is a must play for any fans of the genre, or indeed any fans of quality gaming in general. The new additions are welcome, with the editor mode being particularly exciting. While you may not ever find out your true purpose, playing The Talos Principle should become part of your journey.
The Talos Principle: Reawakened is a surprisingly topical game to come back to in 2025, and neither its plot nor its excellent puzzle-solving gameplay has aged a day. Not everything in the experience really benefits from the graphical rework that significantly increases the system expectation, but the new expansion takes full advantage of both the more advanced engine and the player’s high understanding of game elements, even if I’d describe it as punishingly difficult. Croteam shot for the sky with the original and lands among the heavens with this remake.

While graphical upgrades significantly enhance immersion, performance issues and uneven visual quality may concern some players. Though debated among original fans, the remaster provides enough fresh content and improvements to justify revisiting or discovering the philosophical puzzle experience anew.
