Patapon 1+2 Replay doesn't aim to reinvent the formula, but it does refine and adapt it to current standards. It retains its gameplay, improves technical aspects, and enhances the player's experience without altering the essentials. If you've ever shouted "Pon Pon Pata Pon" while marching to the beat of the drum, this re-release is pure nostalgia. If you've never played it, this is the ideal way to understand why these games were so special.
Not much has been added to Patapon 1+2 Replay, but these two rhythm game oddities are as fun to play as they were eighteen years ago.

I did not play the past titles long time, so I do not remember the details, but this review is based on that assumption.
I assumed the experience would be the same as in past titles, but the improved resolution and frame rate have enriched the experience beyond what I expected.
The settings also allow for fine-tuning, which is a nice touch that feels friendly.
As for the all-important timing adjustment, while somewhat inconvenient, it is a good thing that it is now possible to adjust it in the first place.

I am so happy to see Patapon could be played on switch and PC, as it is one of the best game in my memories. The gameplayis still interesting and the art is so cool. Only thing annoyied me is that, it really cost too long time for some levels,

Patapon 1+2 Replay is a weird but wonderful rhythm game that I’d highly recommend for veteran fans and newcomers alike, providing hours of portable fun and a dose of nostalgia.
If you're going to play it on Nintendo Switch, make sure it's in portable mode and without Bluetooth headphones: this way you'll enjoy two unique gems of rhythm and action as their creators conceived it. A pity that the input lag calibration on TV is so archaic, so trial and error, because it can easily make you despair...
If you're looking for a full remake, you'll have to wait longer, as it's only a high-definition update. They're good games, but they don't have many improvements.
If you haven't played it before and want something really cosy to play for short periods of time, perhaps while travelling or similar, then it may well be just what you've been looking for.
In theory, I understand why people like Patapon so much. It’s cute, there’s a primal satisfaction in staying on beat, and the shrill “Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon” chanting along with your commands is something I can see being infectious in a Tetris Effect sort of way. But every time I played, all I could think was, is this really it? This is the PSP’s premiere music game that everyone loves? Parappa was sent to cross the rainbow bridge for this? How can I be this bored playing a game about music? These questions may haunt me forever. Or at least until I go back to the local arcade for a few rounds of Pop‘n Music.

Not new games but they are still fresh with the same charm. A master on how to create innovative games from simple ideas. And also on how to create lovable and expresive charates with just a few form and lines.
Don't think it's a child's game, they get intense almost from the begining

A high 7 rating. Patapon 1 and 2 are a pair of great titles that debuted on the Sony PSP. In these games you control an army of little warriors as they travel the land looking for "the end of the earth". They have a tribal mentality and seem to think there is some great treasure at the end of the land.
You don't directly control the army. Instead, you use a series of drums to motivate their movements. Each drum is assigned to a button on the controller. That might sound intimidating but it's quite a lot of fun. It's a rythm game and manipulating the army with the drums will quickly become second nature as you play the game.
Both these games are great however I'd like to point something out. Patapon 1 is somewhat of a short game. It feels like it should have some sort of new game plus or something after you beat it but it doesn't. Patapon 2 on the other hand is absolutely huge. You can sink so much time into that one, building the perfect army.
As far as these ports go they seem pretty solid. I've only noticed a few hiccups in Patapon 2 where for whatever reason the game started to lag a little bit like it was having trouble keeping up with what was happening. I'm not sure if that's a Nintendo Switch thing or it happens on all platforms these games have been ported to but it's worth pointing out.

End User License Agreement, Privacy Policy and Agreement Regarding Data Usage? LOL, you are not as important as you think. It is not necessary to annoy the player. It's a game, not life insurance. It instantly ruined the experience. It has no legal value, since you can't expect to read the entire text. So it's not even valid. And btw, why not Patapon 3 too?
