If I buy a car for delivery from out of state, how does the registration work?

You register the vehicle and pay sales tax to your home State only. If you plan on driving your new car home the selling Dealer can issue you a temporary license plate, if you show proof of insurance. This temporary license plate will be issued in the seller's State and will serve as your temporary registration as well. Then when you get home you'll pay sales tax and register the car there. Jim
