Not cool Google. I was among ones whose STABLE 31 was updated to BETA 32. No, happy that there is a STABLE 32 ready I've updated to it, and guess what... Arrows on the scroll bars are still missing... Do we really have to uninstall Chrome, because you guys messed up and updated our stable 32 to beta 32 (which broke the arrows), and even now, after updating to the stable 32 arrows are still missing? You are growing really arrogant Google... Wersja 32.0.1700.76 m Windows 8.1, stable channel, the same installation that was upgraded to the beta 32... I hope that the person which released previously beta as stable was reprimended.

Many thanks for the detailed change log. Please continue with these in future posts :)

Will the extension policy as introduced in here http://blog.chromium.org/2013/11/protecting-windows-users-from-malicious.html introduced with Chrome 33 then?

I am not seeing a 'Relaunch Chrome...' option under the menu. I am currently using a Surface running 8.1. I would like to run Chrome in "Metro" mode.

Paul said...

@W2I6H7: I ran into this on my Surface as well. It's the HiDPI issue mentioned above. You need to turn your font size down from 125% or 150% to 100%. It should appear then.

+1 to Unknown at 11:57 AM (first comment): my stable 31 was also updated to the sans-scrollbar-arrow-heads beta 32.*.*.72.

Still no scrollbar arrow heads in current stable.

Windows 7 home premium on ThinkPad T410.

W2I6H7 said...

@Paul: Thanks for the tip; that did the trick.

David Rees said...

Anyone else notice that the font used in the tabs is wider than it used to be on Linux?

Spacing seems to be off/inconsistent, too.

Philthy82 said...

@Paul: Having the same issue as W216H7 and setting font size back to 100% has not fixed it. I was previously running the 32 beta and uninstalled Chrome, then reinstalled stable to get to this release.

Hi Chrome Team,

With new version of Chrome I have some problem with font display. Bold words are very blurred, and some text is not in bold.
Sorry for my english! :)

Well the Windows 8 mode looks like some I'd really like to use, but it lacks any kind of multi-monitor support, so it's pretty much useless for me at the moment. Also switching to W8 mode and back made me lose my 50 tabs :( It was probably time I got rid of some, but that's a horrible bug to have floating around and will prevent me from touching the W8 button for a long time...

After Chrome updated to this new version 32.0.1700.76, I cleared the temporary files using the Chromes own option and did a restart of the PC. When it restarted, I launched Chrome and got an error message about the configuration file being corrupted. My bookmarks and saved passwords were still there but I had to go through settings and reset my homepage and someother things. My extensiions however are seemingly gone. Is there a way I can get them back? I am one of the users that was unfortunate ebough to get upgraded to a beta release before this one and my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.

Ms. Grunberg & Mr. Xie,

* Text selecting highlight color convert blue. This is annoying!
* Scrollbar arrows is missing. I don't like new scrollbar style.
* In almost all websites, this new Chrome's CPU usaging high. CPU fan spinning a lot until the websites is loading completed. I back to previous version (m31).

I know, Google don't care about feedback. Only example: Changing as white of Context menu in Windows. And:

Nothing is mentioned about 'Aura'. So, does it include 'Aura'?...assuming yes, based on what was indicated when beta was released in November, 2013.

I second both of these. On the second one, in some windows you are unable to click on and drag the scroll bar, but not all. Not sure what causes that exactly at this point. This Post a Comment page has the issue, so that's a good example of it.

The changes to the scroll bars are terrible.

Also I do not like the way dropdown/combo boxes work. The animation just looks ugly. For an example, go to http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_select2 and add several more entries to the list, with enough you'll see the "drop-down" appears to materialize below the drop-down selection instead of popping out from it like it should. It's confusing and doesn't look like you're selecting an option for that drop-down.

In this version, the browser displays a crash window and the quicktime 7.7.4 plugin crashes each time it is triggered for use by an tag. In 31.0.1650.63 this did not happen.

Force Flow said...

My last comment stripped out the HTML tag. I meant to say that the quicktime 7.7.4 plugin crashes each time it is triggered for use by an embed day playing a wav or mp3 file.

I've noticed some unusual behaviour with the scroll bar in select boxes. In that you can't click and drag the anchor. (Tested on windows 7) It sppears that it doesn't respond to hovering as it only takes up the darker hover state when it's been clicked on. Navigation is still possible with the scroll wheel or keyboard though.

Is it just more or did I lose user-agent override to emulate IE9?

I hope I'm just missing it. Someone let me know.

Scrolling bookmark menu using my mouse wheel is freezing Chrome for about 15 seconds. Works fine in previous version.

Robert Grimm said...

Updating caused me to lose all open tabs. It was in Windows 8 mode. The display was offset so that the bottom of the screen was about a third of the way up the screen with the top off screen. Clicks did not register in the correct place. After reinstalling, it only loads in the desktop with no option to switch to Windows 8 mode. I found a discussion thread where these issues were reported in November while it was in beta. The comment didn't seem to have been addressed.

Hi, if I try to drag a bookmark in bookmark's list, chrome 32 stable freeze and I must kill the process from task manager. W7 Sp1 32bit.

Thanks.

First time since release 26 that I notice a bug on stable.

Fine when opened as web page in browser.
