Bachelor of Health Science
This scholarship is made possible by a donation from David and Gail O’Brien through the O’Brien Centre for the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program.
This scholarship helps students to continue to pursue their undergraduate degree in health sciences and recognizes demonstrated service to the community and other extracurricular activities.
$7,000 for a one year term.

Open to any student who is continuing their undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary.
Awardees must be a full-time student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program in the upcoming Fall and Winter Sessions and must maintain full-time student status for the duration of the award.
Applicants are ranked according to their service to society, a written statement, their resume and letters of reference.

Applications must be submitted to the O’Brien Centre Administrative Office.
Completed submissions should be received by the O’Brien Centre by March 30th, 2012.
Applicants must submit one original copy of the application form with supplementary documentation, single-sided and unstapled.
Applications that are not complete, or in which the required information is not provided in the manner requested will not be considered.
Successful applicants will be notified of the results of the competition by the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office. Applicants offered a O’Brien Centre Continuing Scholarship must be registered full time in the upcoming Fall and Winter sessions, and provide their Social Insurance Number (and Study Permit Number if applicable) to the Student Awards and Financial Aid office in order to receive award payment. Award payments will then be applied to Fall tuition.
