Flock allows third parties to create extensions or add-ons that extend the capabilities of the browser. Many Firefox extensions work with Flock, but some do not (trial and error is the best way to find out). Please note: Extensions can and will slow down Flock (and Firefox), and should be used wisely. Flock's quality performance is not guaranteed if you have extensions installed.
Want to create an extension for Flock? Get info at http://developer.flock.com if you'd like to build an extension or new theme yourself!
In this section:
Get an Add-on
- Open the Tools menu and choose Add-ons.
- Choose Extensions or Themes in the Add-ons Manager.
- Click Get More Extensions or Get More Themes.
- Flock's Add-ons or Themes web pages open to show you what's currently available. They also provide a variety of links for further information and help with add-ons. You may also wish to review the wider array of extensions available for Mozilla Firefox, many of which may work in Flock (trial and error is the best approach, while being wary of possible performance slowing).
- Click the link to the Add-on and then click Install. Follow the installation instructions.
- Since Flock was built on Firefox, their add-ons may or may not work. Most Firefox extensions will never have been tested on Flock. Find them here.
- If there's a particular functionality you'd especially like to see in Flock, let us know!

Remove an Add-on
- Open the Tools menu and choose Add-ons.
- Choose Extensions or Themes in the Add-ons Manager.
- Click the Add-on you want to remove.
- Click Uninstall.
- Quit and restart Flock for the changes to take effect.
