So I've got 6 tabs open in Firefox, all working properly. To help me focus on another task, I open a 2nd window in Firefox. It is, however, blank and unresponsive, doesn't show any extensions in the toolbar, but does show "Firefox View" which I don't normally have showing. I can only close the new window by using Task Manager to shut Firefox down completely or by right-clicking in the Taskbar on the dead window and selecting "close window". What's going on here? There's a feature that pins tabs if they're dragged to the left of the tab bar, shown in the image attached. Is there any way to disable this functionality? I can't seem to find any documentation on it whatsoever.

I have the box selecting Open previous windows and tabs.

I close the window.

FIREFOX DOES NOT EVER SAVE MY PREVIOUS TABS. When I select

Then select: Reopen all Tabs

NOTHING HAPPENS.

Yes, I'm a bit peeved at this because whenever I am stupid enough to close Firefox, I lose all my tabs. And it ain't just a couple tabs.

We had a power cut yesterday during wild weather. When I restarted my iMac and opened Firefox I found that all my bookmarks had disappeared. I've done some investigating online for fix it steps but nothing is appropriate. Firefox is only listing one Profile for me.

I have had firefox work on my phone and computer for years. This laptop precedes my computer as well. Every time I open firefox the sync is disconnected and I am forced to log into firefox again. Additionally, it does not remember any of my saved passwords and asks me to "save password?" every single time. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, I have updated it, have done several reboots to my laptop but nothing seems to help.

I had to rebuild my Windows 11 this week. Since installing Firefox, streaming videos in Youtube are distorted with significant tiling during the first few seconds. The video has to be rewound manually to see the beginning unhindered, sometimes rewound several times because the tiling still happens, albeit less so with each rewind. I had to rebuild the Windows 11 because some mysterious problem, possibly from a Windows update a couple of months ago, caused a growling hardware contention noise during video or video games that would cycle through several harmonic levels and sometimes move across the stereo plane. Just before the rebuild it became continuous and untennable. The rebuild did not get rid of that problem completely, but there have only been a couple of tiny hardware contention noises since then. This tiling of Youtube video is brand new. The system is pretty much the same now as it was before the rebuild. I still have the old OS on another internal drive so it would be possible to compare files. I just want to know why all of a sudden Firefox is showing this momentary tiling in Youtube. I tried Chrome and there was no titling. Thanks for your time.

I have installed Video Downloadhelper on my Firefox toolbar. I have also downloaded another app which assists VDh on my pc. Could someone kindly give me a step-by-step guide as to what I have to do to save a YouTube video to my pc and tell me where the saved video will be found.

I want to know whether there is a hotkey for the 'search through tabs' action? I know I can switch to address line with Ctrl + L and then search through opened tabs with a request starting with a % symbol. I want something to reduce this to one step. :) Actually it is made quite nice in Edge with Ctrl + Shift + A

The latest firefox update introduced tab groups, something I've been eagerly waiting for ever since chrome released it!

However, my firefox's tab groups don't hide the tabs correctly. In the video demo I see that when you click on the name of the tab group, it should collapse all the tabs and hide them.

In my firefox, when I click the tab group name, the tabs don't get hidden as expected.

I tried disabling all my extensions and restarting firefox, also tried in private mode, and it still was having the same experience.

Are there any about:config settings that I might have accidentally changed that could be causing this?

Watching Netflix on a monitor that doesn't have GeForce Replay enabled will cause the replay feature to freeze, making it difficult to watch Netflix while playing a game. Even if you want to capture and record interesting scenes while playing a game, the replay function stops as soon as you turn on Netflix, and you have to manually turn it back on, which is inconvenient. They say disabling DRM will fix this, but that makes Netflix unavailable, so there's no solution. Should I switch to a different browser?
