IMHO i seems reasonable to add web config option to disable the timestamp in pot and po files, because they will be not tracked by git when there is no modifications made . e.g.

"POT-Creation-Date: 2016-12-06 14:13+01:00\n"
"PO-Revision-Date: 2016-12-06 14:13+01:00\n"
