When the Jetour T2 was launched here last month, it was offered with a RM2,000 cash rebate that was applicable to the first 3,000 registrations. With this, the retail price of the boxy SUV dropped from RM157,669 on-the-road without insurance to RM155,669.
It looks like many have taken up Jetour Malaysia’s offer, as all 3,000 early bird units have been snapped up, prompting the company to extend the RM2,000 cash rebate to the next 2,000 units. As a result, a total of 5,000 early birds will get to buy the T2 at a special price, with each purchase accompanied by a seven-year/150,000-km vehicle warranty, 10-year/1,000,000-km powertrain warranty and five times free service (parts and labour).
The Land Rover Defender-inspired SUV is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that serves up 245 PS (241 hp or 180 kW) and 375 Nm of torque. This is paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, which sends drive to the road via an all-wheel drive system.
Available in a sole 2.0TD XWD variant, the T2 comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, 12-speaker Sony sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, 19-inch wheels, powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, faux leather upholstery, 50-watt wireless charger, integrated dashcam, panoramic glass roof, six airbags and Level 2 ADAS.
