About to buy a new 2026 Proton Saga MC3? You may want to add an extra two-year/50,000-km warranty to cover selected engine and gearbox parts, on top of the standard five-year/150,000-km vehicle warranty. Yup, pay RM1,200, and selected engine and gearbox parts in your new Saga MC3 are covered for a total of seven years/200,000 km.
Proton says this only applies to new purchases, which means if you already have a Saga MC3, tough cheese. Then again, it does mean you must service your car at Proton for two more years if you want to keep the extended warranty you paid for all those years ago.

Hopefully, not suddenly everything listed on normal wear & tear when claimed. At that mileage all auxilliary unit to engine e.g alternator, water pump, radiator, throttle body, fuel pump, water pump, every sensor, are very prone to kong already.

30 years ago till today, its already 2026 still proton has not managed to fix its power windows. same as how BN managed to fool us all into believing that malaysia would be developed by wawasan2020 and NEP would ceased after boomi equity reached 30%.

Nowadays people rather service outside after 2 years and ignore the warranty. Simply because going service center needs long wait, expensive bill and hard to claim warranty for many reasons.
If sincere then just give free extended warranty for owner who really loves their proton and eager to continue service at proton after 5 years.
I don’t see many of these new sagas on the road.
the older saga was popular.
no doubt the new saga has a better engine but the looks of the old saga was much better.
