PLUS is opening a third lane on the North South Highway from Simpang Renggam to Sedenak, southbound, for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday travel season. This stretch, from KM45.1 to KM42.5, is in the Johor road widening project area.
So, from today (March 18) till April 5, there will be a third lane in this stretch, from the original two lanes. This temporary measure is to increase capacity and reduce congestion in the project area, PLUS says.
The highway concessionaire reminds motorists to follow the highway speed limit, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, not change lanes suddenly and always be alert of the traffic situation. Plan your journey (remember to include breaks, dozing off can be fatal) and drive safe. As the saying goes, biar lambat, asal selamat.
