Today is Wednesday, which means that it is once again time for the weekly fuel price update, as announced by the ministry of finance for the coming week of March 19 to 25, 2026.
Following last week‘s significant increases of between 60 sen to 80 sen per litre in the prices of both petrol and diesel fuels, this week sees the retail price of diesel fuel of the Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends in Peninsular Malaysia climb by 80 sen to RM4.72 per litre. Therefore, the Euro 5 B7 blend of diesel, which is 20 sen more per litre, is at RM4.92 per litre for the coming week.
The retail price of diesel fuels in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan stays unchanged at RM2.15 per litre. The Budi Madani diesel fuel cash assistance that was announced to be increased by RM100 last week has taken effect yesterday, March 17.
For petrol, the subsidised RON 95 fuel under the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) scheme remains at RM1.99 per litre; Malaysians with a valid driving licence are eligible for the fuel at a monthly quota of 300 litres. The price of unsubsidised RON 95 petrol remains unchanged at RM3.27 per litre, while RON 97 petrol climbs by 70 sen to RM4.55 per litre, from its RM3.85 per litre rate of last week.
“Although Malaysia is an oil-producing country, petroleum products for domestic use are still obtained through the global market. Therefore, domestic fuel prices are still influenced by global developments. The government will continue to take a prudent and responsible approach in managing domestic fuel prices following the continuing uncertainty in the global oil market,” the finance ministry said in a statement.
These prices take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, March 25, 2026. This is the 13th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for 2026, and the 376th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.

Those with diesel pickups…especially those with a fleet..are having sleepless nights, when mad Trump will stop the unwanted war.
Say Iran has 5 Hiroshima size bombs.America has 5000.
Do u think they dare attack USA?
North Korea dare not even fire one at USA.firing dummy warheads over Pacific.
All these unprovoked wars..purpose..to sell arms to Gulf nations,by Lockheed Martin n Boeing.
Iran need a nuke as deterrence..Not attack.
eastern pickup truck owners demand too much . they already got cheap diesel , cheap petrol , 40% OnG revenue. now they demand more parliament seats. is there no end to their greed?
Ko berdoalah harap pemguna disel negara sabah serawak tu semua undi ko lagi sebab kat negara semenanjung boleh jalan… Terpaling keadilan
Rakyat still waiting for promise unfulfill. S&S has kicked out PH. Tunggu West Msia to kick them out too
federation should kick out ungrateful S&S, the same way we kicked out singapore 50 years ago . give them join Sulu and Nusantara.
although other person has apologised, you still behave childishly, like a small kid throwing tantrums..
the federation should divest them in the same way we divested singapore 50 years ago. let sabah join sulu and sarawak join nusantara.
ungreateful S&S already have cheap petrol ,cheap diesel, 40% OnG revenue. yet they are still demenading more parliament seats. how greedy are they? kick them out ..
There’s a possibility that automotive brands like Toyota, Ford, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, etc may want to introduce petrol engined versions of their pick-ups for sale to private owners in peninsular Malaysia.
There’s always Ranger Raptor 3.0 V6 :D
That one.. the price is like a BMW 320i but for a pickup truck ? How to justify that kind of price?
I was thinking about a more standard version of the Ranger with the 2.3L 4 cylinder Ecoboost petrol engine. :)
ironically, the cost per km to run ranger raptor 3.0 now is even cheaper than its diesel counterparts, considering petrol is RM1.99 and diesel is more than double that.
petrol engine pickup trucks from all those brands dont even exist.
do some checking first lah! u will find that those brands do sell petrol engined pick-up trucks in other countries. then after that, check & see whether u yourself got brain or not!!
yes, PHEV or BEV utes
powerful and more business productive with V2L
In Saudi Arabia 2.7 petrol hilux were very popular there when I visited the country some 6-7 years back.
Big mistake to blindly increase diesel , it’s other way Rakyat suffer Bez of logistics hi costs simply trf to Rakyat , choopa pm should take immediate action to maintain diesel price
companies are entitled to claim diesel subsidy la dodo. its only private owners who are affected.
Kepla hotak! Unsubsidized Petrol all time high at RM 3.27! Rakyat asing all suffering!
Well once it goes up don’t bring it down, this is your chance to end the subsidy drug addiction, do away with the subsidy. People need to curb their joyrides and needless wastage of fuel. Vehicles that are way old to be fit for the roads need to be totally written off, those are highest fuel consumers and there are a lot of those junk out on the roads. High fuel prices will force those low-lifes to finally get rid of those dastardly trash cans on wheels.
Did a quick check. At the height of the GFC in 2008 when oil price was above USD120 per barrel, our RON97 was retailing at below RM3 per litre….hmmm
ringgit was stronger back in 2008 right ?
the T20 owners of merc AMG45 and BMW M4 are crying nonstop now.
cry once because they have to pay rm4.55 for ron97, cannot use budi95 because engine knocking premature detonation.
cry second time when they get smoked by tesla model 3 performance or byd seal performance.
Dude..
1Amg45 and M4 could use ron95 pls read their car manual. The clever ECU will adjust the engine combustion rate.
2 They are rich and dont cry they just drive their 2nd 3rd or 4th car unlike you who only own 1 car for transport. They dont wanna pay because they feel stingy and they perfectly able to pay even for RM10 per litre. At close to RM1m a car like M4, what is that puny RM250 for a full tank petrol? Laughable!
3No tesla or byd dare to run a Amg45 or M4 on the highway. You may pull a 330i for a few second until your ball become small when the ev mileage drop like hell and watch that family 330i smoke pass you in probably 5sec at above 200kmh. You get smoke instantly with your puny top speed by M4 no chance. Unlike in city stop and go, On highway, ev are diff on the throttle response unlike those muscle car they gain power with speed. And yeah m4 at 3-4 sec is not much diff than tesla or byd in acceleration. Ev might feel nice for the first 0.5-1 sec then bye bye.
And i see less and less ev on the road and more and more BMW. Why? Does that mean ev shelf life going to expire soon? Good luck for the warranty.
Good, will teach the stinking Hilux to leave their trucks idle and poison people all the time.
dont discfriminate against diesel cars. petrol drivers also leave their cars idle and poison people all the time.
Try standing behind a hilux for 30 minutes and see. I will stand behind a vios. I think you smell too much diesel
