Porsche Malaysia has announced its driver entry for the 2026 season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) series, Naquib Azlan who will be taking on a full-season Pro entry in the one-make racing series under Team Porsche Malaysia in partnership with Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) and Axle Motorsports.

“Motorsport is deeply rooted in Porsche’s DNA, shaped by over 75 years of racing heritage. At Porsche Malaysia, we are committed to creating meaningful platforms for local talent — whether on a virtual circuit or the real track — to pursue their passion and realise their potential. Naquib Azlan’s progression from sim racing to Porsche Carrera Cup Asia demonstrates what can be achieved when performance, discipline and opportunity come together,” said Sime Darby Auto Performance CEO Christopher Hunter.

Naquib, aged 26 this year, will take part in the 2026 season of PCCA at the wheel of the 992.2-generation Porsche 911 Cup pictured in the grid line-up image (the car in the indoor photo is the pre-facelift, 992.1-generation GT3 Cup).

The full-season entry for Naquib comes after his victory in the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia 2025 (PESCM 2025) held at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in June last year, as part of PCCA Rounds 6 and 7 that weekend.

His success on the virtual racing platform was followed by selection in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Talent Pool programme, where promising drivers are identified and supported through professional coaching, training camps and structured performance development.

The 2026 PCCA season goes to six venues this year and commences in Shanghai, China on March 14-15 for Rounds 1 and 2, Zhuhai on April 10-12 for Rounds 3 and 4, Fuji International Speedway, Japan on May 8-10 for Rounds 5 and 6, Bangsaen in Thailand on July 3-5 for Rounds 7 and 8, with the penultimate venue at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on August 21-23 for Rounds 9 through 11, before the final stop at the Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore on October 9-11 for Rounds 12 and 13.

“My first introduction to motorsports was through sim racing, and I was hooked from the very beginning. Competing in the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia opened doors I never imagined possible. To now race with Porsche Malaysia, which has a strong racing heritage, is an absolute honour. I’m grateful for the belief and support from the team at Porsche Malaysia, as well as the guidance from Axle Motorsports throughout this journey. I look forward to representing Malaysia and Porsche on the international stage,” Naquib said.

The 26-year-old has form in converting virtual success to his reach of the top step of a podium in real life racing. In addition to following up his Esports Sprint Challenge Malaysia win with a fastest lap time at the official 2026 PCCA test at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China, Naquib is also GT4 class champion in the 2025 Thailand Super Series, as well as the winner of the Vios Challenge in the Super Sporting, Sporting and Rookie classes.
