In a special motorcycle operation in Kuala Lumpur, JPJ issued 456 summons for various traffic offences. The operation, held on the night of February 21, saw 912 motorcycles inspected, with action take against 152, while 22 motorcycles were seized.
Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Road Transport Department (JPJ WPKL) director Hamidi Adam said in a The Star report offences detected were expired or otherwise having a driving licences, expired road tax, no insurance coverage, and non-compliant registration numbers. “The department remains committed to ensuring road safety and reducing accident rates, especially during the festive season,” he said in a statement.
Held in co-operation with traffic police (JSPT), the operation ran between 8.30 pm and 11.30 pm at the Sentul Pasar Toll Plaza. In that duration, several foreign nationals were identified as flouting the law, including five from Pakistan, three from Bangladesh, two from Indonesia, and one from Myanmar.

most motorcyclist i see on highway are monkeys… only 13%??? LMAO… these data questionable
JPJ should revamp the draconian and dated test for motorbike riding license. One of the nonsense is learners still and must using hand signals that is only suits scooters era in 50’s which were yet to be equipped with turn indicators.
Another rule of the test is leaners must park their bike in a double stands position at the end of the test. If they forget to do just that by parked in a single stand position instead they will fail the test. I was one of the learners who got failed by a JPJ tester some 30 years ago because of the rule.
People question is, in the real world why JPJ or JSPT never issues ticket to bikers parking their bikes in a single stands if parking in double stands is mandatory and very important that bikers must obey? Is double stands park makes bikers safer? Or will it prevent bikes from thieves?
Those example of the comedian acts of the riding test are one of the reason why people especially youngsters won’t go to driving school to learn and sit the test to obtain B2/B1/B license.
Some bikes don’t even have the double stand. The Ninja 250 that I bought brand new didn’t come with one.
Another reason to remove the rule in the test.
465 saman? U guys must be joking.
It should be 46,500 saman if the enforcement is done all year round, non stop…unannounced.
Today,I counted at least 100 violations at a single traffic junction..within 30 mins.,especially those gig riders.
Enforcements are touch n go..just pathetic.
Why is it cars without road tax and insurance are seized but motorbikes are given. Only summons? Laws are not applied equally.
why is it you keep on asking same question? someone else alrady answered, its the other way around where jpj lazy to call tow truck for car, but its easier for them to just confiscate the motorcycles load onto pickup truck.
