The Chery Group sold a record 2,806,393 vehicles worldwide in 2025 (+7.8% vs 2024), including 1,344,020 units outside China (+17.4% vs 2024). Yes, more than last year, although the growth percentages are a lot smaller than the previous +38.4% and +21.4% respectively.
It’s also 218,174 units short of Geely’s full-2025 global sales total of 3,024,567 units, when it actually surpassed Geely by 427,349 units in 2024. But Wuhu’s still the export king (now for 23 straight years), beating Hangzhou by 923,923 units. Cumulatively, 5,850,000 Chery Group vehicles have been exported, and there are now 18,530,000 users around the world.
In terms of new energy vehicles (battery-electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles), the Chery Group sold 903,847 units in 2025 (+54.9%). Geely managed almost double that at 1.69 million NEVs. In 2024, the Chery Group sold an astounding 232.7% more NEVs than it did in 2023.
Sales broken down by brand are Chery 1,700,940 units (+5.6%), Jetour 622,590 units (+9.5%), Exeed 120,369 units (-14.6%), iCar (to us, iCaur) 96,989 units (+47%) and Luxeed 90,493 units (+56%).
