Malaysian fuel prices Nov 20-26, 2025 – up three sen; diesel to RM3.10 per litre, RON97 petrol to RM3.28/litre

It is Wednesday, and the ministry of finance has now announced the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of November 20 to 26, 2025.

Diesel and RON 97 fuels see a three sen per litre increase for the coming week, with Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends going to RM3.10 per litre, up from the RM3.07 per litre price of last week. The Euro 5 B7 grade, which is 20 sen more per litre, therefore increases to RM3.30 per litre. The retail price of diesel fuels in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

For RON 97 petrol, the three sen increase brings the premium grade of fuel to RM3.28 per litre, up from its RM3.25 per litre price of last week.

The price of unsubsidised RON 95 petrol is unchanged this week at RM2.65 per litre. RON 95 petrol, under the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) scheme continues unchanged at RM1.99 per litre. Malaysians with a valid driving licence and who are eligible for the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) programme continue to get to purchase RON 95 petrol at the subsidised rate of RM1.99 per litre, at a monthly quota of 300 litres.

These prices take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, November 26, 2025, when the next set of fuel price updates are announced. This is the 47th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 358th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.

      • r u really rakyat Malaysia? on Nov 21, 2025 at 10:35 pm

If you are really rakyat Malaysia, u should know the correct history of RON95 petrol in this country, but looks like you don’t know.
In Sept 2008, RON95 was introduced to take over from RON97 as the nation’s common petrol fuel grade, by the then BN gomen under PM6, bcos it was cheaper to subsidise lower octane fuel. The initial RON95 price was at RM1.80/L but it fluctuated until as high as RM2.38/L in November 2017. At the time BN lost the 2018 GE, the RON95 price was at RM2.20/L. This shows that although the BN gomen had introduced RON95, it could not stop its price from increasing.

        • sorry for the earlier error on Nov 24, 2025 at 11:03 am

Correction: It should be “The BN gomen under PM6 had introduced the sale of RON95 fuel in Sept 2009”. Sorry for the error.
