Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) sold a record 82,896 tickets in the first 24 hours of Monday’s start of sales for travel between January 1 to April 30, Bernama reports. That period covers both Chinese New Year in February and Hari Raya Aidilfitri in March.
“The extraordinary response within just 24 hours proves that trains remain the preferred choice among the public. Although the number of unsuccessful transactions was very small, KTM remains committed to improving its system to ensure a smoother and more reliable ticket-purchasing experience,” KTM chief technical officer (acting group chief executive officer) Ahmad Nizam Mohamed Amin said in a statement.
All 79 unsuccessful transactions are being processed for refunds, which are expected to be completed within 14 days in accordance with the respective banks’ procedures.

KTM.. Pls outsource the KITS app development to other firms. Your website and app is far from being intuitive & user friendly (shopping cart, etc). Learn from Western rail operators. 10 years ago, been using Trenitalia, Swiss SBB, all are much better than ktm KITs. That was a decade ago.
Checked on the website that none of the North South bound trip are available. Does it take the intervention of the Transport Minister to get any action taken? Seriously this it like the really backward. Every time have to use the carrot and stick to get any step taken forward.

Tapi org2 politaik ni dok sembang kari cakap tak penting, tak perlu lah…itu lah….ini lah.
Kalau sistem train ni tak bagus, takde lah negara2 maju tu buat.
Kita tengok aje lah negara China tu…dorg punya HSR sistem adalah terbesar jaringan dalam dunia.
Indo yang kita dok rendah2 kan selama ni pun….dah ada HSR.
