Proton has announced its group sales reached 15,575 units (domestic and export) in the month of October 2025, which is its best result so far this year. The figure represents a 16.3% improvement over September 2025 (13,395 units) and brings the company’s year-to-date (YTD) total to 129,872 units – a 3% year-over-year (YoY) increase.

Unlike the month of September 2025, Proton did not provide its estimated market share for October 2025. However, we are still furnished with the performance of individual models, starting with the Saga that saw 8,373 units delivered. The company says sales of the Saga hit a high point last achieved in July 2013. Ahead of the introduction of the new Saga MC3, the outgoing MC2’s YTD total stands at 59,107 units.

Next up is the X50, which got big update in July this year and saw 2,693 units of the newer model delivered in October 2025. Between August and October, deliveries of the facelifted model reached 10,418 units, and when combined with the pre-facelift model sold throughout most of the year, the YTD total is 23,847 units – a 24.7% YoY improvement from 2024.

The X70 didn’t get a sales figure in September 2025, but we’re getting a number for October 2025. Deliveries of the C-segment SUV reached 680 units which the company says is a gain of 56.3%, implying (through some math work) that it sold just 435 units in September 2025.

Meanwhile, sales of the S70 were 43.2% higher than in September 2025 (979 units) to hit 1,402 units in October 2025. Both the X90 and Persona also saw an improvement, with the D-segment SUV raking up 209 deliveries (+7.7%) while the latter managed 1,215 units (+4.7%). Production of the Iriz has ended and it didn’t get a mention in Proton’s release.

In the eMas camp, the eMas 7 registered 758 units delivered, which is down from the 845 units in September 2025. Even so, it remains the country’s best-selling electric vehicle (EV) this year with a YTD total of 7,413 units. The smaller eMas 5 was only launched at the end of October 2025, so we’ll have to wait for the November results to see how it performs.

“The company is also thankful for the rousing send-off customers are giving the outgoing Proton Saga and are thankful that interest in the upcoming new model is very strong and we look forward to the commencement of deliveries for the Proton eMas 5, which will hopefully position Proton eMas as Malaysia’s leading EV brand,” said Zhang Qiang, deputy CEO of Proton Edar.
