Peugeot 408 priced from RM120k at ACE 2025 – grab the Leapmotor C10 before the EV tax-free holiday ends

Peugeot 408 priced from RM120k at ACE 2025 – grab the Leapmotor C10 before the EV tax-free holiday ends

The paultan.org Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2025, co-sponsored by Carro and Kärcher, was in full swing today at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC). In case you missed it today, you still have tomorrow to catch those deals.

Both Peugeot and Stellantis stablemate brand Leapmotor are present at the event. For the latter, two examples of the C10, which was launched here in October last year, are on display at the show. The D-segment SUV was updated in June this year, and the 2025 version introduced some minor upgrades and kit into the mix.

Output from the single rear-axle motor is unchanged at 218 PS and 320 Nm, but new bits include a 11 kW AC onboard charger in place of the previous 6.6 kW unit, which brings about a faster AC charging time, in this case four hours instead of six before to get the 69.9 kWh battery from 30-80% SoC.

The update also adds a direct tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for real-time tyre inflation data as well as a motorised tyre inflator kit and a tonneau cover for the rear luggage compartment.

Most importantly, the price of the EV was also adjusted, being lowered to RM125,000 from its offer price of RM149,000 at point of launch, making the large SUV great value. While it’s set to be locally assembled at the Stellantis plant in Gurun by the end of the year, this is just about the last chance to bag the C10 in fully-imported guise at this price, given that the CBU EV tax holiday is set to end on December 31.

The Peugeot 408 is also on display at ACE 2025, where you’ll be able to get one for as low as RM120,000. That’s for the Allure, but there’s also a neat rebate for the GT, which is the example on show at the event hall. Whichever version you opt for, both come with the same 218 PS and 300 Nm 1.6 litre turbocharged four and an eight-speed auto transmission as well as up to a seven-year/200,000 km warranty.

Every confirmed vehicle booking will enter you into a lucky draw to win the grand prize of an all-expenses-paid holiday for two worth RM10,000, and a total of 20 winners will also receive Kärcher products worth over RM30,000. Head on over to ACE 2025 at the SCCC – the event ends tomorrow, November 9.

Leapmotor C10 must be cheaper than CBU version when CKD assembly starts in Gurun. otherwise it defeats the point. moreover, whoever supports gurun plant be ready to fight cost competition to keep Leapmotor CKD assembly viable in Gurun and supply to the region. best if they can be good enough to supply part of CKD kits to Leapmotor for other regions.
