Geely EX5 gets another price cut in Thailand – Proton eMas 7 twin now up to RM26k less; starts from RM90k

The price cuts keep coming for the Geely EX5 in Thailand, with the electric SUV now starting from just 699,000 baht (about RM90k) for the base Pro variant, reports Autolife Thailand. This figure is 200,000 baht (RM26k) less than before, while the top-spec Max gets a lesser reduction of 140,000 baht (RM18k) to go for 849,000 baht (RM110k).

As a recap, the EX5, the twin to our Proton eMas 7, was launched in Thailand in late November last year. At the time, the Pro retailed for 899,000 baht (RM116k) while the Max went for 989,000 baht (RM128k), although both were offered with a special introductory discount (limited to a certain number of units) that cut 40,000 baht (RM5.2k) off their asking prices. Along the way until now, the EX5 has received limited-time promotions that reduced its retail pricing temporarily, including in March and July this year.

This latest promotion, dubbed ‘The Final Deal’ is offered by Geely Thonburi Thailand, with buyers able to choose if they want the reduced pricing or receive instalment payment assistance for 10 months – 7,000 baht (RM903) for the Pro and 5,000 baht (RM645) for the Max. According to the company, this is the same promotion that will be offered at the upcoming Thailand International Motor Expo later this month.

Buyers will also receive many special privileges, including a free eight-year/180,000-km battery warranty, a six-year/160,000-km vehicle warranty, 24-hour emergency assistance for five years, free first-class insurance, free portable charger and free registration.
