KINETA, Solarvest team up for greener EV charging

KINETA has signed a partnership with Solarvest Holdings Bhd subsidiaries Powerbee and Vestech Energy to join solar energy with EV charging in a bid to strengthen Malaysia’s growing clean energy ecosystem.

The two companies will jointly encourage customers to adopt solar power through Vestech’s home energy solutions – Vestech will provide training, product knowledge and technical support to KINETA’s sales and service teams, allowing customers to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs.

The Sime Group subsidiary specialising in EV charging solutions will also work together with Powerbee on exploring opportunities to develop solar-integrated charging stations, green mobility hubs and corporate sustainability solutions. Also, users of the KINETA Charge and Powerbee apps can seamlessly access each other’s EV charging stations via roaming services.

“This collaboration is more than a partnership – it’s a commitment to building a sustainable ecosystem that combines clean mobility with renewable energy in Malaysia. With KINETA joining forces with Solarvest, we are offering a powerful synergy that supports our shared mission of driving decarbonisation in Malaysia,” said KINETA MD Sunny Lee.

KINETA operates one of Malaysia’s largest teams of Energy Commission-certified engineers. It has sold over 12,000 AC and DC chargers and completed over 7,500 retail and commercial installations nationwide. Meanwhile, Solarvest, a clean energy solutions provider, has a presence in eight Asia-Pacific countries.
