Only 34 Budi95 complaints thus far – KPDN deputy

The week-old Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) has seemingly been a relative success. Senator Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh, also deputy domestic trade and cost of living (KPDN) minister, has been quoted by The Star as saying that the targeted petrol subsidy programme has been going “very smoothly” on the whole.

“We received 34 complaints since the implementation of Budi95. Checks by the ministry found that the main factor involving one to two complaints was due to a system glitch. Nevertheless, the petrol stations concerned repaid the difference to the affected customers,” she said today in the Dewan Rakyat in response to a question from Tampin MP Datuk Mohd Isam Mohd Isa.

Other complaints were to do with the outdoor pump kiosk going offline. She said those systems were under respective petrol stations’ control and that transactions could still be carried out indoors using readers.

Fuziah revealed recently that from October 9 (tomorrow), businesses and individuals who bought RON 95 petrol at the unsubsidised RM2.60 a litre due to a technical glitch can apply on mysubsidi.kpdn.gov.my for the difference to be refunded. You’ll need your receipts as proof of purchase.

Yesterday,I saw an OKU pak chik carrying tongkat, frantically asking for help.
The banglas are busy playing videogames or in the toilet.
The stupid caltex station at Jln genting kelang..all the external card readers r not working.
Poor tongkat pak chik has to walk like a turtle from pump 10 to the counter to setel there.
Ahlokekor ,if disguised undercover as OKU.I m sure will be fuming.

if OKU man cant even walk 10 steps then how did he manage to drive the car unaided ? wait let me guess – you yourself are the man in your story. i mean its kind of ridiculous to expect transport minister to be responsible for wheelchair transport .

By the way,no one has come forward to explain how much the madani germen has forked out to equip all the 4,200 petrol stations with the card readers and who are the contractors or vendors?
Berapa juta RM..to supply ,install and maintain the system?

govt didnt fork out any money because those station equipments were paid for by the petrol companies and/or the franchise owners.

one time investment to get started. then maintenance. they key point is that we get budi95 going on top of ekasih. i think it is ekasih roll out that reveal a lot of weaknesses that helps budi95 roll out works. nevertheless, there will be weakness to address and there will be expenses involved. more important is the expenses not exceeding unreasonable amount and exceed savings from this initiative

    • Come on, let’s be reasonable. All petrol stations are already equipped with card readers—otherwise, how would they process credit cards, debit cards, or membership cards?

It’s incorrect to assume that updating software is overly troublesome just because of the number of stations involved. For your information, centralized updates make it entirely manageable.
