The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced extensive road closures and traffic diversions across several key routes in Malaysia from April 15 to 17, 2025. This is to facilitate the official state visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping.
The traffic investigation and enforcement department (JSPT) said that these temporary closures will affect 17 major roads and highways, primarily within the Klang Valley, Putrajaya and surrounding areas.
According to JSPT director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Haji Hassan Basri, each closure or diversion is expected to last between 30 to 45 minutes to allow the safe passage of the president’s delegation.
A total of 378 police personnel, comprising senior officers and other ranks, will be deployed to escort dignitaries, control traffic and enforce road laws during the affected periods.
