Bangkok 2025: Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV facelift, new N Line

First unveiled globally in March 2024, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift is being shown at the ongoing 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) in the new N Line guise (not the full-fat N), which makes the EV look more aggressive through sportier bumpers, side skirts and 20-inch N Line alloys.

You’ll also find inside an N Line steering wheel and dashboard, metal foot pedals, black headlining, N-badged sports seats and red contrast stitching. Perfect for those who want the N show but don’t need, or don’t want to fork out for, the N go.

A check on Hyundai’s Thailand website suggests that the 1.99 million-baht (RM259k) N Line is so far the only Ioniq 5 facelift variant available there. If you don’t want an N Line you’ll have to go for one of the pre-facelift variants (Premium, Exclusive, First Edition), which are priced from 1.7-2.4 million baht (RM222k-313k).

Thailand’s N Line is one-motor (rear), so the 84 kWh battery brought about by the facelift yields an impressive WLTP range of 530 km, bettering even Malaysia’s pre-facelift two-motor Max (72.6 kWh battery, 430 km WLTP). Besides eight airbags and enhanced ADAS, there are also structural and refinement upgrades brought about by the facelift, which you can read more about here.
