We had a great time at BioProcess International 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 last week! Our CTO Zheng took to the stage to share how we're reimagining bioprocessing with high-fidelity virtual models. 🔬 Zheng presented how hybrid simulation engines can capture both explicit and implicit process dynamics—making it possible to run most experiments virtually instead of physically. He outlined 4 key requirements for a successful bioprocess model: 1️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Cell culture is highly sensitive; models must capture everything that could impact outcomes. 2️⃣ 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Simulation that accounts for process interdependencies over time. 3️⃣ 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 – Vetted equations that work across cell lines and processes. 4️⃣ 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Speed unlocks iteration, learning, and innovation.
