I've never really watched X-Files, but I did see an episode with this talking/Demonic doll. That was one creepy episode. Even though I didn't watch it much, I'm still happy to see a new movie for X-Files. Hopefully I can find some interest in it.

I was wondering how long it was gonna' take these two to wizen up and reprise their old (and most successful) roles. It's not as if either of them really blasted off after X-Files wrapped (although Gillian has done her fair share of high-quality/notable work).

Either way: Props to both of them for holding out longer than the hags on Sex in the City.

Yay! I hope they don't screw this up. I recently bought all the early seasons on DVD (before it went crap and the T1000 signed up) and I'm loving it. Hopefully this will have the same feel as the earlier episodes.
Also, Scully is a sexy b!tch.

John Doggett was actually one of the most well-written characters of the entire series. It's a shame he wasn't embraced because so many fans (and obnoxious shippers) stopped watching when Duchovny took his second break from the series.

I was once one of those 'idiots' that stopped watching, but recently a smart friend of mine convinced me to watch seasons 8 and 9. I came to the shocking realization that they were, for the most part and with an exception of an HEART-BREAKING death, really well done.
It's too bad so few people stuck around to see what Chris Carter could bring to the table because X-Files finally got better with season 8 (after the abysmal season 7).

Either way, I'm excited as hell to see Mulder and Scully on the big screen again.

It sucks that this will probably be a stand-alone story though, especially after the intense and amazing final episode.

Doggett wasn't the problem for me in the later X-Files. I couldn't stand the whole psychic Gish crap they went off on. Regardless, it just didn't feel the same without the principal stars.
