Having problem with combos

Hi all,

I am sure there is a simple reason, but I am having problems doing combos. Ok I am a noob. So for instance, sub zero, I am trying to do 123 then slide, the 123 happens, but I cannot get the slide to come out. I guess it seems to happen with other characters too when I do a combo move, and then a special attack needs to happen right after it, but does on. I am sure I am inputting it correctly. Well any advice would be great. I really like the game and like to get better at it.

Just keep playing and try to stick with one character.

is 123 special cancleable? do you have release check turned off? because that is literally negative edge, and in MK games that shit hurts more than it helps
