Barovier Murano Glass and Brass Flower Sconces, Italy 1940s

About the Item

Marvelous Art Deco Murano Sconces by Ercole Barovier. These bellflower shaped sconces were produced in Italy during the late 1940s. All in fabulous condition with no chips or cracks, 12 sconces available in total. These highly decorative lights feature mouth-blown crystal glass shades in the shape of flower, with vertical ribbing and elegant scalloped edges that beautifully diffuse the light. The shade is mounted on a stepped solid brass arm and backplate, a distinctive element of Barovier’s refined Art Deco and early mid-century aesthetic. The quality of the glass is outstanding, a testament to the mastery of the Murano artisans of the time. When lit, the crystal bowl emits a warm, atmospheric glow, highlighting the clarity and texture of the glass. The sconces have been rewired and tested for use in the US, UK, and EU with standard E14 sockets. The brass has a beautiful even golden patina that has not been polished to preserve their timeless charm and historical value. A standout set and a unique opportunity to add character and uniqueness to any Deco, mid-century, or contemporary interior project. Dimension (cm): Height: 15 Width: 17 Depth: 20
