Just a quick note; I'm in the process of replacing libwww with libcurl. I've factored out HTTP-centric stuff from Connect, which is now quite a bit smaller, and will replace libwww with libcurl today. I figured I'd send this to DODS Tech for several reasons: We've been talking about refactoring some of the code for a while and Connect always figures big on the list and replacing libwww has long been on the wish list. I'm also CC'ing the ESRI guys (who are waiting on this). We might want to hold the rest of the DODS/ESRI/GIS discussion here so that it'll be archived, threaded, et cetera.
