  1. Israel has wanted peace on its own terms for the last 60 + years to no avail. It continued to defy its financial supporter and best ally by spying against the USA, taking the billions and replenish its military planes, tanks and rockets and others supplied by the USA while pissing on us every time a politician does something it does not want the world to know.

Well, NO MORE…. The world of the Internet is informative and the youthful generations are advancing ont relity anf fairness. The Hollocoast is an old story that the world paid enough for in billions even though the the world had nothing to do it with and actually stopped. Common sense and logic by Obama is in line with the United Nations resolutions that Israel has ignored and went on its merry way building settlements on lands that do not belong to it while the Palestinians live in refugee camps for the 60 + years… How long does Israel think it can keep the world blind and in the dark…. Obama has guts and fears no one, even at election time. This is one president of the USA who does not have to bow down to Israeli pressure and the Israeli PACS… He has the Latino vote and the democratic base and does not need the jewish vote all other presidents had to kiss behinds for… Obma has the votes of the youth who are informed and educated…

  2. Just turn the money off to Israel —- and wait……Don’t talk — just do! It’s the only language they understand.

  3. Outstanding Benjamin Netanyahu. The simplicity and content of Israel’s requisites for Peace have been laid will be acceptable to most and is to this skeptic predicated upon the fine print. Mr. Netanyahu, well said with your historical points easily verified. Embrace this Abu Mazen and move this process forward under Obama’s leadership.

  4. While i definitely and strongly support Israel and its mission to survive as a nation i am appalled at the level of arrogance displayed by leaders of that country at the President and our nation. The USA essentially bankrolls their very existence. Show some respect and humility and while at it, some gratitude. Collectively the Arab nations can make life very difficult for Israel, however it is clear that not all Arabs feel negatively toward them. Israel should exploit this and show some empathy toward the Millions of native people they continue to displace and disrespect. Look in the mirror and make a change. Do not wait until its too late.

  5. Israel has benefited from U.S. Vetos in the UN Security Council and those will cease now that Bibi has outed Obama as caring more about making nice with Islamists than in protecting Israel.

Israel is doomed unless it can forge an alliance with Russia.

  6. Someone explain to me: didn’t you already have 1967 borders? What happened in 1967?

After you explained what happened in 1967, ask yourself what will happen after 1967 borders are restored. If you can think this one through, the answer will become obvious: 1967 redux.

How hard is to understand that there will be no peace in ME until Israel is either accepted as a Jewish state, in its present location, by all Arabs, not just the Palestinians, or it is completely destroyed by the Arabs and Iran. Which alternative do you think is likely to happen?

  7. Since the end of the 1967 war the land was determined not to be part of Israel. The Israeli elected to force settlements on the area. Thousand and thousands of arabs homes were destroyed to make room for immigrants from other nations who had the “correct” religion. The arabs who owned the land for hundreds of years were never allowed to get a building permit. In the 60 plus years of Israel there has never been a building permit given to an arab. The prime minister of Israel cries about the 130 illegal settlements constructed with a thumb in the nose to the world. My personal feeling is they knew every nail that what they were doing was wrong. Sharon told the crowds to go occupy the high ground so you could then continue the expansion. I would go back to the 1948 partition agreements and not to the 1967 borders. All the arabs for a very long time have accepted the borders of 1967 as a bases of peace. It is time for the world to understand that they have been funding a group who want the billions in years contribution and they want to have no peace so they can expand. It is long over due to cut off the money and arms that the USA taxpayers provide. That is the only way to have a peace.

  8. Both Israeli and Palestinian are intolerant. They will never agree. Every president knows that nothing can be done here. They put on a show and pretend they care and can make a difference. Nothing can be done here in reality unless one wipes out the other or both are wiped out. I’d say the Israelis make more sense because they are not trying to bring about Armageddon like the Palestinians are. They cherish death while the other cherishes life. What do you cherish?

  9. I wouldn’t abandon Israel to countries like Iran etc, but frankly, the Palestinians have had their face rubbed in the dirt so often that I can’t blame them for resorting to violence or supporting any organization that gives them a glimmer of hope. Also, listening to the Americans and the Israelis pontificating about how evil it is to resort to violence to protect your national interests is really quite precious. I think if you count how many Palestinians have been killed in recent years versus how many Israelis, you will get a clearer picture of exactly who is the victim in this fight.

  10. Go Netanyahu! Don’t surrender any of Israel. There is no reason to give in to those who will never give in to you. Palestine does not deserve any concessions. They make it abundantly clear at every opportunity they want to destroy and get rid of Israel. Stand firm. Real Americans are behind you 100%.

  11. The man child in the white house was bitch slapped by Netanuyahu. Israel cannot move back to 67 border (that were established after it was attacked by 5 Arab nations), it cannot negotiate with terrorists (Hamas now running Palestine) and cannot take in hundreds of thousands of Palestinians (but the surrounding HUGE Arab nations could stop saying no and take their own).

  12. derdutchman – you are an idiot “That’s the reality Israel should understand. ” – Israel has had thousands of its citizens murdered by suicide bombers, rocket attacks and repeated mass attacks by arab nations over the past 60 years. Do you really think THEY don’t understand better than you and the man child in the White House the reality.

  13. She’s 1 who secretly ‘advises’ Obama. She has no clue about Israel and the U.S. She thinks’ Israel is like something stuck the bottom of her shoe. She’s as bad as her husband. You know exactly who i’m talking about. Herman Cain for president.

  14. When you pretend you know anything about global politics, you end up with pretend solutions that come apart the first time anyone with real understanding looks at what you just said.

  15. For any of you idiots here who seem stupid. When you attack a country (Israel) and then lose a war (a couple of times) do not come asking for your land back.

  16. Well we screwed the French out of Louisiana for some 15 million bucks and Russia out of Alaska for $7.5 million.(Manhatten, for 26$ in beads is ancient history) With Obamas’ sense of things I guess he thinks we should renegotiate these two land grabs again. Since we are broke (his words) I guess we will have to give it all back gratis.

    Darrow…for the Prosecution

  17. It’s about time that Israel realizes that a lot of Americans believe that Israel could do a lot more in the interest of a peaceful solution.

As Jewish settlement construction projects continue, occupying and developing land that is proposed to eventually be part of a Palestinian state, it is understandably in Israel’s interest to create that Palestinian state at some point in the distant future… years, decades, centuries, even millennia from now.

However, waiting until later is NOT in America’s interest. I’m glad we have an American president who isn’t bashful about pointing that out.

  18. So far, Obama has been a total loser for me Gitmo, Afghanistan, Iraq and now Libya. He’s a total bust in the most important areas. without the wars we wouldn’t be broke, for example. Kill the wars and stop funding Nazi Israel and he’s got my vote. Otherwise, I’m voting 3rd Party only, no Democrats at all and certainly no Republicans.

  19. Once again Obama is on the wrong side of an issue important to most Americans. Obama has screwed things up again. Just another nail in the Obama re-election coffin.

  20. Israel should ask all Jews to pull out their investments from US. Let these whinny Americans go bankrupt! When unemployment hits 90%, they will come to senses.

  21. It amazes me that the majority of posters are critical of Israel, place yourselves in their position. How would you feel if the very people you are being told to negotiate with have stated publicly that their goal is to eliminate the very existence of Israel? Unless the hostile rhetoric by the PA stops they cannot be taken as a trusted participant. I also take exception that our president is siding with the same population that upon hearing of the news of 9/11 were dancing in the streets and giving out candy to the children. Things like this you do not and will never forget.

  22. Netanyahu says the 1967 lines are “indefensible” but that is obviously false.. it is just another stalling tactic he is using to avoid giving up any of the occupied territories

If 1967 lines are indefensible then how come Israel won 4 wars with those lines (or even less) without ever losing an inch of land ? In 4 wars – 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973.. No foreign army was ever inside Israel “proper” (not counting the occupied territories in which the fighting always took place) while Israel was expanding outwards ?

Everyone should keep in mind that using the 1967 lines as a starting point for negotiations, with adjustments to accomodate the large settlement blocs represents The Palestinians getting just 22% and Israel getting 78%

But that’s not enough for Netanyahu..

The official Likud platform completely rejects any form of Palestinian state, it is absolutist in its rejectionism of any form of compromise what so ever:

“The Government of Israel flatly rejects the establishment of a Palestinian Arab state west of the Jordan river.”
    http://www.knesset.gov.il/elections/knes set15/elikud_m.htm

Even the famously unreasonable Hamas is willing to negotiate a two-state solution, but it turns out the Palestinians do not have a partner in peace as long as Benjamin Netanyahu is the Prime Minister of Israel.

  23. As soon as the AIPACish people of America loose power, Isreal is going down. Apparently, Obama being the ‘angry bird’, israel the ‘pig’ game should be over soon.

  24. Poor Palestine once again left at the alter by an American President who offers no change and only talks about Israel’s security and not the Palestinians.

… Diddums are you kidding me? Palestine isn’t even a proper state is backed by the Hamas, a terrorist organisation. First of all it doesn’t deserve support from the US and even if it did said support would be immoral. Do you expect America to abandon its ally Israel? I think not…

  25. What about “American” security???? Yes, how many American lives have been lost because we protect Isael? I see absolutely no reason to protect Israel when its leaders bate others. If they want to stir up additional trouble, they should be left to defend themselves. I’m tired of the U.S. acting like Israel’s lap dog. Let them take care of themselves. They can commit to peace and uphold their commitments or go it alone.

  26. The nation-state system was invented in 1647 with the Peace of Westphalia ending the 30-Years War. The system is being exlipsed simultaneously by the rise of global state entities like the IMF, NATO and any number of economic unions; and communities nested in nation-states but beholden to them not. Meanwhile Netenyahu clings to the nation-state fetish as the world changes around him. Good luck with that sir.

  27. “Agreed Land Swap” the whole new story is now in some new directions. Obama and Netiniyahue are in tune. Israel is no more ten miles wide and hamas is out of the table. So the result is same Israel – and palestanian conflick remains at least for another new US President.
