Lewis & Clark Branch opened for public use on January 8, 1963. It is named for the famous team of explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. The branch is located less than five miles from the historic take-off point of the party that pushed off into the Missouri River to begin the exploration of the Louisiana Territory in May 1804.
