Deep Rock Galactic
How to opt-out of current event?
I don't like the plush or whatever, they are more nuisance more than anything because I'm playing unseasoned and the event object just spawns bugs right on top of you for some dumb ass reasons.

Don't dig it up, don't go near it. Otherwise... wait a week, and it'll be gone.
Most bug spawns are for "dumb ass reasons" just shoot em.
You can't opt out. Stay away from the float and you'll be fine, the area for triggering the wave is pretty small. If other people go for it and spawn a wave that's their problem.

Seems like it. Problem is, other players activating the float also spawn ♥♥♥♥ right on top of me and most are too retarded to ask before doing so lol. Plus, it's not always feasible to avoid it since Morkite missions in Crystal Caves and Salt Pits sometimes feature extremely tight tunnels, making avoidance impossible.

But yeah, guess I'll have to live with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for now. :SkullofDoom:
Stop playing for about 3 weeks.

Sorry, but if you're standing around by the float you have no intention of digging up, then it sounds like you're the idiot there... :/ Just move on and let them deal with the spawn. expecting a "r"eady check for dealing with a mini-wave? "R"eally?

From what I've seen, other players getting close to it also triggers the spawn, I WISH you needed to actually dig it out of the terrain to initiate the event, would make it a lot better, yes/no/maybe?

I don't think the bugs necessarily spawn around the float? I've had occasions where I was minding my own business like 1 room away (the float was in spawn room, and I was already in the connecting tunnel) and that "sound" played and stuff just started spawning on top of me.

Tf you mean "asking before doing so" - it's just a single wave of bugs that takes roughly 10 seconds or more to deal with on haz5 even without the whole team, absolutely no ready check needed unless you're chicken ♥♥♥♥ LMAO

Anyways most grenades and explosives will deal a serious blow to the incoming horde, since they all spawn close to the float - you should use them to deal with the wave.

The sound plays for everyone if anyone in the team is near the float, not just if you're near it. The bugs only spawn near the float though.

That's not the problem but ok (please pay attention to the core issues).

Then don't bring up how other people approach the float (or call them the hard R) if it's not an issue then? 🤷‍♂️

It's a valid reason, but the core issue is that there's no way to opt-out of this event, which you seem to have missed entirely.
really? THIS is the event that you want to opt out of? the halloween or christmas events are way, WAY worse than this.
