So no improvements at all?
I guess are the other characters stories more compelling this time?
I can forgive the gameplay loop if I get a good story. OT1 would have been just fine if it didn't come in hot with Primrose's back story then slow down. Bravely Default I is a perfect example and will be a re-play once it is on Steam in a year or so.
Characters also have more unique tricks to diversify them more than just by their jobs.
The base formula is still there though; it's still a turn-based rpg in the end so make of that what you will.
For story I wouldn't say all of them are as great as Primrose's but I personally found them more memorable than what OT1 had (OT1's characters/stories didn't quite as well to me as these have at least).
Probably says a lot that I'm currently replaying the game and having a good time still. (I've first played when it released)
As just a straight stick RPG to goof off and play on your down time OT1 isn’t bad at all.
i dont buy any square E games because they remove most of the diff fun aspects of the last versions with little patches or fixs for the products they make .{
EDIT: i just noticed that they did a demo for part 2 of O T:}
