Chess game in The Archives
Heya, has anyone managed to beat the chess game in The Archives? The opponent always starts by moving their two knights and I can't for the life of me beat this guy. Doesn't help that I'm a total chess noob, lol. Anyway, tips would be greatly appreciated!

Seconded.. I think I just wasted about half an hour trying to beat that damn thing.
Doesn't help that there doesn't seem to be a 'restart' option, so when you get checkmated you pretty much have to quit and reload the game :/

Sorry, the chess game in the archive is just there for fun, you only get a first aid kid from completing it, and it is currently bugged that you can't restart. Working on fixing that and clarifying it's optional

Aye it is possible to beat em, I didn't find the chess AI to be all that smart (handed me their queen for a pawn XD). Only thing I can really think of is aiming to lock down their king into a corner with a queen and rook/castle.

It's not possible to beat for me. Got to the very last piece and it just froze, won't move forward and won't let me win.

Was very easy to check mate him. Gave me his queen for free haha. I'm not a pro or anything, around 1,000 elo. Was a fun little mini game nonetheless!
